Alexcie Burrows and her Virginia State University teammates recorded a 7–0 win over Marymount [VA].
Virginia State controlled the match from the start, taking all doubles contests to establish an early lead. At number three doubles, the Bermudian duo of Alexcie Burrows and Damita Bollers defeated Marymount’s F. Loiseau and S. Berrit 6–0.
Virginia State continued its form in singles play, extending its lead across the remaining matches.
Burrows, scheduled to play at number six singles, was awarded a walkover after her opponent sustained an injury during doubles and was unable to compete in the final match.
The result gave Virginia State a 7–0 sweep in the fixture.
