Plate Removed From Govt Vehicle After Crash
Police are investigating a Sunday morning collision involving a government vehicle that struck a utility pole in St. George’s, leaving the driver with minor injuries and the vehicle extensively damaged.
A police spokesperson said, “At approximately 9:35 a.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2026, Police received a report that a vehicle had struck a utility pole near the junction of Old Military Road and Slippery Hill, St. George’s.
“Upon arrival, officers observed that the vehicle’s license plates had been removed.
“Subsequent inquiries revealed the vehicle, which was extensively damaged, was part of the government fleet.
“Further checks led to the driver, who sustained minor injuries, being identified.
“An investigation into the circumstances surrounding this collision is now underway.

Wouldn’t removing license plates be an offense?
Yes, where this goes is going to be interesting. Most likely the Government will try to bury it in the hopes that it will be forgotten. A new vehicle will be provided. No charges will be laid.
No accountability.
I am told by people who follow social media that the driver left the registration document in the windscreen.
New policy. All persons who use Government vehicles are to park them at end of working day btwn 5pm n 6pm. Working late no later then 8pm. Location Government can decide that.
