Domamanic Nominated For MOBO Video Award
Bermudian director Dominic O’Donnell, known as Domamanic, was nominated for Video of the Year at the 2026 MOBO Awards for his work on Skepta’s “Back 2 Back” video.
A spokesperson said, “The nomination was for “Back 2 Back,” the music video he co-directed with grime legend Skepta for Skepta’s collaborative track with Fred again.. one of the most prominent figures in contemporary electronic music. The video stitches together footage spanning London from 2005 to 2025, built around the concept of Skepta confronting a younger version of himself. It was released in August 2025 and has drawn significant attention internationally.
“The MOBO Awards are Europe’s largest celebration of Black music and culture. This year marks the organisation’s 30th anniversary, and the ceremony is its first ever held in Manchester. The Video of the Year category is sponsored by Vevo. Other nominees included Little Simz, FKA Twigs, Raye, and Jim Legxacy.
“Domamanic has previously worked within the Bermudian creative community — most recently directing the music video for Bermudian artist Hana Bushara’s single “No Label” in August 2025, and Collie Buddz in previous years.
