17th Annual Schools Relay Classic Results

The 17th Annual Schools’ Relay Classic was held this weekend, featuring relay teams from primary, middle, and senior schools across the island.

The Saltus Grammar School middle school girls’ 4x100m relay team established a new record during the preliminary rounds. The quartet of Leydi Raynor, Jasmine Reid-Rubaine, Amaya Davis, and Zahra Goodchild finished with a time of 51.10 seconds. This performance surpassed the previous record of 51.59 seconds set by TN Tatem in 2017. The Saltus team went on to win the final with a time of 51.50 seconds.

Saltus Grammar School secured the overall middle school championship with 38 points. In the middle school boys’ division, Saltus and Whitney Institute finished in a tie for first place with 18 points each.

The Berkeley Institute claimed the overall senior school title, finishing with 34 points. The Berkeley senior boys’ team earned a maximum 20 points to win their specific division.

In the primary school category, Warwick Academy took the overall title with 29 points. The Warwick Academy primary girls won their division with 18 points, while Port Royal Primary won the primary boys’ division with 16 points.

Saltus Grammar School also earned divisional honors for its senior girls’ team as part of the multi-division meet.
