Video: King At Garden Party At Govt House
King Charles III attended a garden party at Government House during his visit to Bermuda, and gave a speech where he thanked the governor for his hospitality, noting that he’s staying at Government House and joking that he wasn’t quite sure it would be ready in time and noting that it smells of paint.
“It meant a very great deal Mr Premier to receive your generous invitation to come here myself and make Bermuda my first overseas territory visit as King,” he said. “It has given me the greatest pleasure to meet so many special people from the island, including as far as I can make out, Half the population today” he joked.
