Ball Hockey: Spine & Sport Defeat CG
Spine & Sport defeated CG 4-3 in overtime in the opening game of their playoff series at the PCC Hockey Rink.
CG took a 2-0 lead in the first period with goals from Andrew Leavy and Jeremy Estey before Christopher Merritt scored for Spine & Sport to make it 2-1.
Dallas Montgomery restored CG’s two-goal advantage in the second period, but Rob Osborne scored for Spine & Sport to cut the deficit to 3-2.
Kris Abramowski scored the equalizer in the third period to force overtime before netting the winning goal in the extra period.
The win gives Spine & Sport a 1-0 lead in the playoff series.
