Bermuda Teams Begin ECVA Volleyball Games
Bermuda’s national beach volleyball teams began competition at the 2026 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association [ECVA] Senior Beach Volleyball Championship in Saint Lucia. The tournament features representative pairs from nine nations.
In the women’s division, Hailey Trott and Kayley Hamilton finished the opening day with a 1-1 record. The Bermudian duo opened their campaign against Saint Lucia’s Clio Phillip and Tenayestlgni Joseph. After losing the first set, Trott and Hamilton won the second to force a tiebreak but ultimately lost 2-1 with scores of 21-10, 19-21, 16-14.
Trott and Hamilton later faced Dana Regis and Josanne Lewis of Antigua. The Bermudian pair secured a 2-1 victory, recovering from a first-set deficit to win 17-21, 23-21, 15-11.
In the men’s division, Bermuda’s Benjamin Barnett and Sean Tucker won their opening match in straight sets. Facing Dwight Bonnie and Raenor Sharpe of Antigua, the Bermudian pair recorded a 2-0 victory with set scores of 22-18, 21-11.
