Collision Involving Two Vehicles In Devonshire

[Updated] A two-vehicle collision involving a public bus and a motorcycle occurred on Palmetto Road in Devonshire.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 11:24am on Monday, 18th May 2026, police and other first responders were dispatched to a serious two vehicle collision involving a public bus and a motorcycle on Palmetto Road in Devonshire.

“Details surrounding the circumstances of the collision are unclear at this time. However, the male motorcyclist was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with what appear to be serious injuries. The male bus driver was not reported to be injured.

“Traffic diversions are currently in place at Barkers Hill and Parsons Lane.

“Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact police by calling 211 at the earliest opportunity.”

Update: A police spokesperson said, “Earlier this afternoon, after the collision scene was processed, the associated traffic diversions were removed and traffic flow in the area has since returned to normal. Inquiries continue regarding the circumstances of this collision and any witnesses are now encouraged to contact Constable Ralshon Douglas by calling 717-0964, or e-mailing rdouglas@bps.bm, as soon as possible. Further updates are anticipated in due course.”
