Photos: Africans In Bermuda Group Hold Clean Up
Africans in Bermuda partnered with Keep Bermuda Beautiful [KBB] for a community clean-up in Smith’s Parish at the weekend.
The organisation recently volunteered at the annual Convex End-to-End, serving as marshals and packing goodie bags for participants in the island’s largest fundraiser.
Africans in Bermuda, whose charitable arm operates as Jumuiya Ya Afrika, seeks to strengthen economic, educational, cultural and social ties between Bermuda and Africa.
Keep Bermuda Beautiful works to reduce litter and waste through public action and education.
“Thank you to everyone who came out for the Jumuiya Ya Africa and Keep Bermuda Beautiful Clean-up exercise yesterday, at Smiths Parish,” the Africans in Bermuda group said.
“We had well over 20 volunteers covering three sites; John Smith’s Bay, Watch Hill Park, and Devil’s Hole Dock.”
