Andre Lambe Loses To Sparrow In Texas
Bermudian boxer Andre Lambe lost to American Pryce Sparrow in a matchup in Galveston, Texas, last night, with the Bermudian boxer noting that it ”wasn’t the result I was working for” and adding that he will “take the lessons, make the necessary adjustments, and continue to grow as both a fighter and a person.”
In a post on Instagram, Mr. Lambe said, “First off I’d like to thank God that I’m ok and still able to go home to see another day. I also would like to thank my sponsors for continually supporting me and giving me the opportunity to represent my country at the highest level. Every time I step in the ring, I put everything on the line and you win some and you lose some. I have so much to thank God for, that I can’t be upset.
“This sport teaches you a lot about life and how to handle adversity, stay humble in victory, and keep your head up in defeat. Tonight wasn’t the result I was working for, but I leave knowing I gave it everything I had. I’ll take the lessons, make the necessary adjustments, and continue to grow as both a fighter and a person.
“Thank you to my coaches, teammates, family, friends, and everyone who continues to support me through the highs and lows. Your belief in me means more than words can express. This is just another chapter in the journey.
“The mission remains the same. Thank you all for the support, and thank God for every blessing, every opportunity, and every lesson along the way.”
Lambe has had a strong professional career to date and last night actually marks his first loss as a professional and means that he has lost his American Boxing Organisation North American belt.
