BUEI Launches Summer Sunset Cruise Series

The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] is inviting the public to support its fundraising efforts by joining a series of summer sunset cruises aboard the Zara catamaran, beginning this Friday [June 19].

A spokesperson said, “Summer is in full swing and the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] invites you to hop aboard the luxurious Zara catamaran for one of BUEI’s unforgettable summer sunset fundraising cruises. BUEI has been hosting these highly anticipated cruises since 2022 and they’ve become a staple of support for the organisation’s annual fundraising goals.

“Set sail on the first cruise this Friday, June 19th, and join us again for a Cup Match themed cruise on Friday, July 24th. These special two-hour excursions provide gorgeous views and good vibes, and they’re a great way to wind down the week with friends and work colleagues.

“BUEI has lots of special surprises in store for all on board! Guests are greeted with a Gosling’s signature cocktail upon boarding the boat, complemented by a delicious variety of hand-passed canapes by Four Ways Catering that are served throughout the cruise. More than just an incredible evening on the water, these fundraising cruises create a direct community impact and promote BUEI’s vision for Bermuda’s ocean to be widely understood, appreciated, and protected. Proceeds support BUEI’s ocean literacy and environmental education programmes, which delivered over 30,000 hours of lessons and engaged with nearly 8,400 student encounters last year. Funds raised also support maintenance of the Ocean Discovery Centre exhibits, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors annually and proudly featuring Bermuda’s maritime heritage, geology, and the importance of ocean conservation.
