Carnival Family Fete Event Set For June 10
The selected finalists for the 2026 Singer Songwriter Competition are Brixx, Aalai, Jashae Allen, Marseille Williams, Abede Matthews, Fiyah Marshall, Fire Wayne, and Natasha Krista, the organisers announced today.
A spokesperson said, “Carnival in Bermuda is set to officially kick off its 2026 festivities with its highly anticipated Family Fete on Wednesday, June 10, bringing together music, culture, entertainment, and family-friendly experiences in the heart of Hamilton.
“Taking place during Harbor Nights from 7pm-10pm, the Family Fete will serve as the opening event for Carnival in Bermuda 2026 and is designed to welcome residents and visitors of all ages to experience the spirit and energy of Carnival in an accessible and community-focused setting.
“One of the evening’s major highlights will be the Singer Songwriter Competition, providing local artists and emerging talent with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and original music in front of a live audience.
“Organizers have been overwhelmed by the level of talent showcased in this year’s submissions, noting that the talent that we have in Bermuda is amazing. The initial submissions made it incredibly difficult for us to choose the finalists.
“After careful consideration, the selected finalists for the 2026 Singer Songwriter Competition are Brittany Cox [Brixx], Aalai, Jashae Allen, Marseille Williams, Abede Matthews, Fiyah Marshall [Alex Marshall], Fire Wayne, and Natasha Krista.
“The event will feature live performances from each finalist, along with Carnival showcases, entertainment, and activities for attendees of all ages. Audience members will have the opportunity to participate by voting for the Audience Favorite award. In addition, a panel of esteemed judges will evaluate the performances and select the overall winner of the 2026 Singer/Songwriter Competition.
“Carnival in Bermuda 2026 takes place June 10-15 and features more than 14 events across the island, including Pan in the Park, Jammin Still, JAM Jouvert, Revel de Road and more.
