Disney Summer Pops Concert Set For July 5

The Bermuda Philharmonic Society will present its annual Summer Pops Concert, Disney: Then & Now, on Sunday [July 5] at the Victualling Yard in Dockyard.

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Philharmonic Society invites audiences of all ages to experience an unforgettable evening of music, nostalgia, and adventure at its popular annual Summer Pops Concert, Disney: Then & Now, on Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 5-7pm in The Victualling Yard, Dockyard.

“Under the direction of Music Director and Conductor Kate Kayaian, the orchestra will perform a collection of beloved music spanning more than eight decades of Disney storytelling, from the groundbreaking Fantasia of 1940 to modern favorites including Moana, Encanto, and Frozen.

“The concert will feature orchestral selections from Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Lion King, Frozen, Pirates of the Caribbean, and more, offering something for every generation. Whether audience members grew up with Mary Poppins, sang along with Ariel and Simba, or can recite every line from Encanto, this family-friendly program celebrates the music that has become the soundtrack to childhoods around the world.”

“This concert is about more than Disney,” said Kayaian. “It’s about great storytelling and great music. Many of these films introduced generations of children to orchestral music, and we’re excited to bring those beloved scores to life right here in Bermuda.”

The spokesperson said, “A special highlight of the performance will feature musicians from the Royal Bermuda Regiment Junior Band joining members of the Bermuda Philharmonic for selections from Moana and Raiders of the Lost Ark, showcasing some of Bermuda’s talented young musicians alongside the island’s community orchestra.

“Known for its engaging and accessible performances, the Bermuda Philharmonic’s Summer Pops Concert has become a favorite annual tradition for families, music lovers, and first-time concertgoers alike. You can purchase concert seats under the tent for $70 [Students and seniors are $40], or $30 lawn tickets, where you can bring your own picnic blankets and beach chairs and enjoy the concert from under the stars.

“There will be food and beverages available out on the lawn from our partners at Frog & Onion, as well as food trucks from J&B Pizza, Food Hub, Dutch Pops, and Croffle Haus.

“2 Private ferries are available to return concert-goers to Albouy’s Point in Hamilton at 7:30, or 9:00pm. Ferry tickets can be purchased on our website along with your concert tickets.
