Gherdai Hassell Selected For Venice Fellowship

Bermudian artist Gherdai Hassell has been selected for a fellowship at the Venice Biennale, where she’ll spend a month developing a new personal creative project.

Working in partnership with The Lowry, Manchester, Ms. Hassell’s creative project will be inspired by the 2026 British Pavilion commission, Lubaina Himid’s #PredictingHistoryTestingTranslation, while also invigilating the Pavilion’s exhibition spaces.
