Tyler Smith Finishes Ninth In African Cup
Tyler Smith finished ninth in the elite men’s race at the African Triathlon Cup Yasmine Hammamet in Tunisia today [June 6].
The Bermudian finished the course in 54min 43sec, with splits of 8:29, 30:57 and 14:34.
It was his first race since winning his maiden Bermuda Half-Marathon Derby title.
“A good race for me finishing in the top ten,” Smith wrote on social media.
“So far three/three top ten’s this year so happy with the consistency. Plenty of room to level up through the rest of the summer.
“Honestly, took me way longer than I expected to recover from Bermuda Day Half-Marathon so glad the legs came around in the last few days!”
