Person Arrested After Collision In Devonshire
[Updated] A single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle has occurred on Barker’s Hill in Devonshire.
A police spokesperson said, “There has been a serious single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle on Barker’s Hill Devonshire.
“Details are limited, however, it is understood the male motorcycle rider lost control of the vehicle and collided with a wall.
“The roadway is currently closed and motorists are advised to use Middle Road or North Shore Road to get to their destinations.”
Update 9:50 p.m. A police spokesperson said, “Shortly after 3:45pm on Saturday, June 6, 2026, Police and other first responders were dispatched to a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle on Barker’s Hill, just north of the junction with Parsons Lane, Devonshire.
“Initial information suggests a motorcycle was traveling south along Barker’s Hill when the rider, a male, lost control of the vehicle and collided with a roadside rock face.
“Passersby rendered assistance until the arrival of Emergency Medical Services personnel, who attended to the male at the scene before he was transported via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for further treatment of his injuries which are described as serious.
“The bike rider was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired.
