Phoenix And Jeffers Exit Cup Competition
Bermudian cricketer Cameron Jeffers and his Bristol West Indian Phoenix CC teammates were eliminated from the Gloucestershire County Cup following a 36-run defeat to Bishopston CC at Westbury Fields.
Bishopston won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 239 for nine in 40 overs. Richard Boroughs led the hosts with 75 runs. For Phoenix, Neiland Cadogan took three wickets for 25 runs from six overs, while Jeffers took one wicket for 46 runs from his eight overs.
In response, Bristol West Indian Phoenix were bowled out for 203 in 38.4 overs. Bishopston bowler William Thirkell took four wickets for 21 runs from eight overs as Bishopston advanced to the quarter-finals.
