Volleyballers Competing In Dominican Republic
Volleyball players Natalie Gazzard, Megan Hands, Kyle Hamilton and Sean Tucker are representing Bermuda at the NORCECA Beach Tour in the Dominican Republic this weekend.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Volleyball Association [BVA] is pleased to announce the athletes selected to represent Bermuda at the upcoming NORCECA Beach Tour event in the Dominican Republic, taking place June 19–21, 2026.
“Representing Bermuda in the women’s division will be Natalie Gazzard and Megan Hands. While the pair have competed together internationally in the past as juniors, this marks their first partnership of the 2026 season. Both athletes have continued to develop through national team training and international competition and will look to build on their previous experience together on the regional stage.
“On the men’s side, Kyle Hamilton and Sean Tucker reunite after competing together in several events during the 2025 season. Hamilton’s presence at the net, combined with Tucker’s extensive international experience and defensive abilities, gives Bermuda a balanced pairing against a strong field of NORCECA competition.
“This tournament is the 6th stop on the prestigious NORCECA Beach Tour, which brings together many of the top beach volleyball teams from across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The event provides valuable international competition and development opportunities for Bermuda’s athletes as they continue to gain experience against some of the region’s strongest teams. Including teams from Cuba, U.S. Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic, U.S.A., El Salvador, Cayman, Canada, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, St. Kitts & Nevis, Barbados, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, and Honduras.
“Both teams have trained extensively in preparation for the event under the guidance of their coaching staffs. FIVB Coach Rick Bevis has been working with both teams with Benjamin Barnett, Lisa LeBlanc and Meagan McPeek rounding out the coaching staff.
“Every NORCECA tournament provides valuable experience for our athletes and an opportunity to measure themselves against some of the strongest teams in the region. Both teams have trained hard in preparation for this event, and we are excited to see their continued development on the international stage.
“The Bermuda Volleyball Association wishes both teams success as they compete in the Dominican Republic and proudly represent Bermuda.
