Barnett & Somerville Continue NORCECA Tour
Bermudian beach volleyball players Benjamín Barnett and Connor Somerville dropped two matches at the seventh stop of the 2026 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour on Tabyana Beach in Honduras.
The Bermuda duo opened the morning with their final Pool B match against Canada’s Louis Charbonneau and Henry Heider. Charbonneau and Heider defeated Barnett and Somerville in straight sets, 2-0. The Canadian team won the match 21-15, 21-14.
The loss placed Barnett and Somerville into the classification bracket for a 13-to-16 playoff match against Reyes and Galvez of Honduras.
The Honduran team won the opening set 21-19. Reyes and Galvez then secured the match with a 21-12 victory in the second set.
Barnett and Somerville will conclude the tournament in the 15th-and-16th-place classification match.
