Four Bermuda Triathletes To Compete In Chile
Four Bermuda triathletes — Tyler Smith, Nicholas Pilgrim, Jackson Langley and Oliver Hayward — are scheduled to compete in the 2026 Americas Triathlon Championships in Antofagasta, Chile, from July 4 to July 5.
The international event, co-organized by World Triathlon and the American Triathlon Confederation, is being hosted in the coastal Chilean city for the first time.
Tyler Smith will represent Bermuda in the Elite Men’s field, competing as race number 21. The Elite division lineup includes world number one Miguel Hidalgo of Brazil and two-time Chilean Olympian Diego Moya.
In the Under-23 Men’s category, Nicholas Pilgrim will compete for Bermuda under race number 67.
Bermuda will also have two competitors in the Junior Men’s championship layout, with Jackson Langley competing as number 16 and Oliver Hayward competing as number 32.
