Luke Horan And King’s College Win T20 Title
Bermuda international Luke Horan helped King’s College, Taunton win the National Schools Under-18 T20 Cricket Cup with a five-wicket victory over Shrewsbury School at Wormsley Cricket Ground in the UK.
Shrewsbury elected to bat after winning the toss and were dismissed for 117 in 19.5 overs. Liam Grindlay top-scored with 36, while Horan claimed 2 wickets for 21 runs from 3.5 overs. Horan also took a catch and was involved in two run-outs. Jago Barclay also took 2 wickets for 21 runs from four overs.
King’s College reached 119 for 5 with more than three overs remaining to secure their second National Schools Under-18 T20 Cricket Cup title.
Rishabh Shimpi scored 50 to lead the run chase, while Grindlay took 2 wickets for 17 for Shrewsbury. Horan scored 6 runs during the innings.
