St. Mary’s To Host Emancipation Day Service
St. Mary’s Church will host an Emancipation Day Service on July 26, 2026, beginning at 10.30 a.m.
Ms. Stacey Lee Williams, Executive Director of Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda [CURB], will serve as the guest speaker.
The service will also feature a special musical selection by Mr. Ed Christopher, the City of Hamilton Town Crier, who will perform “Make Them Hear You” from the Broadway musical Ragtime.
The Emancipation Proclamation of the Anglican Diocese of Bermuda will be read during the service.
Attendees are invited to dress in ethnic wear or show their Cup Match support by wearing Somerset or St. George’s colours.
