Kaden Hopkins Completes Stage Six

Bermuda’s Kaden Hopkins overcame two punctures to complete stage six of the Tour Cycliste International de la Guadeloupe.

Riding for Atom 6 Bikes-Cycleur de Luxe-Auto Stroo, Hopkins finished 103rd in the 136-km stage from Orange Moudoung to Goyave in 3hr 52min 42sec.

Hopkins suffered an early puncture and took a replacement wheel from a neutral support vehicle before chasing his way back to the peloton.

After regaining contact with the main group, the Bermudian struck a pothole and punctured again.

This time he received a replacement wheel from his team car but was unable to bridge back to the peloton after his earlier efforts.

Hopkins is 67th overall with a cumulative time of 18:37:54 as the ten-stage race enters its closing stages.

He finished 37th in the 154-km fifth stage from Karucoco to Sainte-Anne, crossing the line in 3:35:53, 30 seconds behind Belgian Johan Meens.

Compatriot Nicholas Narraway was forced to abandon the race during stage five after recording a Did Not Finish.
