BFA Domestic Season Kicks Off With Charity Cup
The Bermuda Football Association’s [BFA] 2026-27 domestic season kicks off with the Charity Cup between Dandy Town Hornets and North Village Rams.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] 2026-27 domestic season officially kicks off with the Charity Cup between last season’s Charity Cup, League and Friendship Trophy Champions Dandy Town Hornets and FA Cup Champions North Village Rams.
“This year, the Hornets have chosen Citizens Uprooting Racism [CURB] as the beneficiaries if they win the season’s opening competition. The Rams have chosen FrayStar Cricket Institute. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Charity Cup as proceeds from the match will be presented to the charity of the winning team.
“In another feature of the new season, Butterfield Bank has donated limited-edition commemorative brass coins honoring Bermudian football trailblazer Clyde Best that will be used in the coin toss between team captains before each game during this season.
“Turning to international football, the senior men’s national team begins their Concacaf Nations League campaign during the combined September and October international match window when they travel to St. Lucia to play Guadeloupe and group host St. Lucia. From there, the team will travel to Barbados to play Barbados twice.
“In an unfortunate twist, the scheduled replacement of the field lights at the Dame Flora Duffy South Field will not be complete in time for Bermuda to host the group matches as scheduled in October. Hence, the team will now play in Barbados. The final group matches will be played in Guadeloupe in November.”
