Police Issue 64 Motorist Violation Tickets
The Bermuda Police Service issued 64 Motorist Violation Tickets, including 54 for speeding, and made several arrests for impaired driving as part of ongoing road safety enforcement.
A police spokesperson said, “Yesterday, the Bermuda Police Service issued 64 Motorist Violation Tickets [MVTs] as part of ongoing road safety enforcement efforts.
“Of those, 54 were issued for speeding, accounting for more than 84% of all tickets issued. The remaining 10 MVTs were for other traffic offences, including the use of unlicensed vehicles. There were also several arrests for driving whilst impaired.
“The BPS continues to urge motorists to slow down, obey the rules of the road and make responsible choices. We also encourage members of the public to report to police any person they suspect may be driving impaired or may be about to drive impaired.
“Working together, we can help prevent serious collisions and make Bermuda’s roads safer for everyone.”
