Raleigh International Bermuda will host Lead From Within, an interactive workshop designed to help young people discover their strengths, build confidence and develop the skills to lead with purpose at school, at home and in life.

A spokesperson said, “The workshop will be facilitated by Shannon Davis, ACC, Founder and Lead Coach of The Growth Mirror, on Saturday, 29 August 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The session is open to all young people ages 14 to 17. Central location will be shared on registration.”

“At a time when Bermuda continues to grapple with youth violence and antisocial behaviour, it is crucial that we invest in young people before they reach a point of crisis,” said Denae Burchall, Executive Director of Raleigh International Bermuda.

“Prevention is also about opportunity. We need to create opportunities where young people can better understand themselves, recognise their strengths and make intentional decisions about who they want to be and how they engage with the world around them. We are excited to have The Growth Mirror facilitate this workshop, as their approach and experience working with young people strongly align with what we aim to achieve through Brave.”

A spokesperson added, “Lead From Within is offered through Raleigh’s Brave Programme, which complements the organisation’s international expeditions and survival skills training with youth development opportunities focused on confidence, resilience, self-awareness and leadership.”

Shannon Davis, Founder and Lead Coach of The Growth Mirror, said: “I am incredibly excited for the opportunity to facilitate the Lead From Within workshop. Through my work over the past five years as an educator, mentor and coach, I have gained a deeper understanding of the challenges young people are navigating and the strengths they already possess.

“The Growth Mirror was founded on the belief that confidence begins with self-awareness. When young people understand themselves, recognize their strengths, identify areas for growth, and reflect on challenges they have overcome, they begin to recognize the skills they already carry. I cannot wait to help participants discover what they are capable of and lead from within.”

A spokesperson added, “Registration for Lead From Within is $25 and includes lunch, with bursaries available to ensure cost is not a barrier to participation. To register, email info@raleigh.bm.”
