Aaron Lugo Earns $30K Garden Club Scholarship
The Garden Club of Bermuda has awarded a $30,000 scholarship to Aaron Lugo, who is studying Environmental Studies at Howard University.
A spokesperson said, “The Garden Club of Bermuda [GCB] has announced Aaron Lugo as the recipient of this year’s scholarship award in the amount of $30,000.
“Aaron was selected for his outstanding academic record, participation in extra-curricular activities and dedication to community service. He is a graduate of The Berkeley Institute and will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies at Howard University.
“We are delighted to support Aaron on his academic journey and are confident that, in due course, he will make a significant contribution to Bermuda.
“The GCB is a registered charity which has been in existence for over 100 years. Its mission is to stimulate interest in horticulture, floral design and related subjects, and to aid in the conservation of natural resources.
