BKA Opens Season With 37 Karts On Track
The Bermuda Karting Association opened its 2026–2027 racing season with 37 karts competing in the first round, welcoming several newcomers to the grid and setting the stage for a season of competitive racing.
A spokesperson said, “The engines roared to life as the Bermuda Karting Association officially opened its 2026–2027 racing season, with 37 karts taking to the track for the season’s opening round.
“Pit row was buzzing with anticipation as drivers returned to competition, while several newcomers joined the grid for their first taste of BKA racing. The L0206 class proved particularly well represented, with 15 karts lining up for the opening-day action.
“Among the new faces was Rahul Patel, who made his debut in the L0206 class. The Arrive & Drive Cadet class also welcomed two newcomers Kris Barnett and Cooper Hillier, and Hayden Constable-Stephens and Ryan Daley joining the Cadet class.
“With a strong turnout across the classes and new drivers adding to the competition, the opening round provided an exciting start to what promises to be a full season of close racing, fast laps and plenty of on-track battles.
“The 2026–2027 season is officially underway, and the drivers have wasted no time putting their karts—and themselves—to the test. Our next race day is Sunday 11 October 2026, with races starting at 11:30am.”
