Bermudian Players Meet Thomas Tuchel
Bermudians Shammi Smith, Jason Dixon-DeSilva and Chazz Manning were among the Future Pro Football and Education Academy players to meet England head coach Thomas Tuchel during a recent visit to St George’s Park in Burton upon Trent.
“A moment our scholars won’t forget,” read a Future Pro social media post.
“During today’s visit to St George’s Park, our scholars had the opportunity to meet England national team head coach Thomas Tuchel.
“An incredible experience to meet the man leading the England men’s senior team — and another unique opportunity for our players to experience the environment at the home of England Football.
“Training at the home of English football, our scholars had the opportunity to work in state-of-the-art facilities and experience coaching from EFL and Premier League coaches, gaining valuable insight and experience from professionals working at the highest levels of the game.”
Future Pro, based in Coventry, bridges the gap between academy and professional football for talented players aged 16 to 23.
The academy, which has several Bermudian players, recently competed in the Bermuda Triangle Cup at Flora Duffy Stadium.
