Hayward Officiates In Nations League Match
Bermudian assistant referee Clinton Hayward officiated as the Dominican Republic came from behind to defeat Trinidad & Tobago 2-1 in the Concacaf Nations League.
Hayward served as second assistant referee for the League A, Group A match at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain.
Trinidad & Tobago took the lead in the 37th minute when Daniel Phillips scored with a right-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area.
The Dominican Republic equalised five minutes later through Heinz Mörschel, whose right-footed effort from distance made it 1-1 heading into half-time.
Mariano Díaz scored the winning goal in the 50th minute, completing the visitors’ comeback and securing all three points.
