Planning Application Filed For Vet Clinic
CedarTree Vets has filed a planning application seeking permission to convert a three-bedroom residence at 15 Tee Street in Devonshire into a veterinary clinic, noting that “the practice has grown in size and requires more space.”
The planning application states: “Proposed change of use from three bedroom dwelling to new vet clinic. Existing one-bedroom unit to remain.”
A supporting document filed with the application said: “The business is a mobile vet service with surgical vet services on site. There will be 10 full-time members of staff at the practice, the majority of which are off site most of the day servicing clients.
“Therefore, there will be very limited traffic to the property after the surgery drop-off in the morning and collection in the evening.
“There will be no kennel use involved beyond recovering animals which may occasionally need to remain on site overnight.
“The practice currently operates at 19 Tee Street and was approved under P0424/15. Since then, the practice has grown in size and requires more space.”
The application also notes that “only minor modifications to the building are proposed and the structure will continue to look like a residential home. The proposal includes a small increase in overall floor space resulting from enclosing the existing covered verandah, a small addition which is constructed within a portion of the existing front patio and covering the rest of the front patio over the front door.”
