Sept 28 – Oct 6: Lane Closure In Pembroke
A single lane will be in effect on a section of Palmetto Road, just east of the Glebe Road Bridge, from Monday [Sept 28] through Tuesday, October 6 to facilitate vegetation clearance.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises motorists that a section of Palmetto Road, just east of the Glebe Road Bridge in Pembroke, will be reduced to a single lane from Monday, 28 September to Tuesday, 6 October 2026, weather permitting.
“The lane closure will be in effect between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to facilitate vegetation clearance.
“Traffic control will be managed by representatives of Abundance Horticulture.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible and use alternative routes via Marsh Folly Road, Bishop Spencer Road and Roberts Avenue.
“The Ministry appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while these works are carried out.”
