Shyne Thanks Premier For ‘Warm Welcome’
Grammy Award-winning artist and former Belize Opposition Leader Shyne Barrow extended his thanks to Premier David Burt for the warm welcome and said it has been “inspiring engaging with Premier Burt the last few days since my arrival.”
Mr Barrow posted the image below, taken by Bernews, on his social media and said, “Thanks to the Honorable Premier of Bermuda, David Burt and Mrs. Burt for the warm welcome.
“It has been inspiring engaging with Premier Burt the last few days since my arrival to address the Bermuda Industrial Union at their 41st Labor Day Banquet.
“The Premier and I are the same age born in the same glorious month of November. He’s been Bermuda’s youngest ever Premier since elected at age 38.
“While I led a Conservative Party and he leads a Liberal Party, in our policy discussions we are both more centrist. He actually left politics for private sector before making the sacrifice to return to public service and ultimately become Premier. Most importantly he loves Hip Hop Music! Best wishes my friend! All the best to the people and Government of Bermuda.”
