Shyne Barrow To Speak At Labour Day Banquet
The Bermuda Industrial Union’s 2026 Labour Day Banquet is sold out, with Grammy Award-winning artist and Belizean politician Shyne Barrow to serve as keynote speaker.
Dr Barrow’s extraordinary life journey has taken him from international success as a rap artist, years of incarceration, before becoming a politician and ultimately serving as the Leader of the Opposition in Belize.
A spokesperson said, “The 41st Annual Labour Day Banquet is officially sold out, and we’re looking forward to a special evening of unity, recognition and celebration.
“This year, we’re honoured to welcome the Hon. Dr. Shyne Barrow as our keynote speaker.
“A Grammy Award-winning writer and performer whose platinum debut album Shyne left a lasting mark on Hip Hop, Shyne went on to serve more than a decade in Belizean public life as the Ambassador of Culture, a Member of Parliament, and Former Leader of the Opposition and United Democratic Party.
Shyne’s collaboration with Barrington Levy on the song ‘Bad Boys’ was a major hit:
