Swing Bridge Detour Works Enter Phase III
The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises motorists that Phase III of the Swing Bridge detour route works in St. George’s will take place from Tuesday, 1 September through Sunday, 27 September 2026.
A Government spokesperson said, “Works will take place daily from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will include the temporary relocation of the bus stop east of the existing roundabout and the implementation of a one-way system through the bus lane and mini-roundabout.
“Traffic will be managed under the direction of Ministry representatives using barricades, cones and stop-and-go controls. Once the mini-roundabout is completed, traffic will be diverted through Kindley Field Park, with buses using the bus turnaround area within the park.
“The Ministry encourages the full cooperation of motorists and apologises for any inconvenience that may arise.”
