Bermuda Art Month Continues With Local Artists
The Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA] has highlighted several Art Month events taking place across Bermuda from October 15–18, featuring local artists, exhibitions and interactive art experiences.
A spokesperson said, “Art Month is in full swing across Bermuda, with local artists at the heart of experiences taking place throughout the island.
“This weekend brings another mix of art, people and places together, from internationally recognised collections and live art to an underground painting experience.
“Among those taking part is The Loren, a longstanding supporter of Art Month, which will bring six local artists together for its Live Art Dinner on October 17.
A Look Ahead
- October 15 | Masterworks Artist Talk
“Join guest curator Lisa Howie and artists Abi Box and Charles Zuill at Masterworks Museum of Bermuda as they explore the perspectives behind Atlantic Voices – an exhibition connecting artists from Bermuda, The Bahamas and the Azores.
- October 17 | Live Art Dinner
“At The Loren, six local artists create works live during a four-course dining experience with paired wines.
- October 17 | Verdmont Art House
“Verdmont preserves the histories of the people who lived and worked there, including the enslaved Black Bermudians whose labour, skills and knowledge sustained the house and estate.
- October 18 | Sip & Paint in the Caves
“Local artist Carlos Santana Dill leads an intimate painting session inside Grotto Bay’s Prospero Cave.
“The weekend reflects what has been happening throughout Art Month: artists, cultural organisations and tourism partners coming together to bring the arts into different spaces across Bermuda.
“And there is plenty more to explore. The Art Month Passport encourages residents and visitors to make their way through participating galleries and museums, collecting stamps along the way. Completed passports can be redeemed for a special gift at Bermuda’s Visitor Services Centres.
“More than 100 experiences are bringing Art Month to life this October, with plenty still to come.
“Come curious.
