Cechini Competes In Four Events For Loyola
Bermudian swimmer Thomas Cechini competed in four events for Loyola University Maryland during a meet against Navy and Louisiana State University [LSU] at Lejeune Hall in Annapolis, Maryland.
Cechini finished eighth in the men’s 200-yard freestyle in 1:42.17, recording Loyola’s fastest time in the event. He also placed 11th in the men’s 50-yard freestyle in 21.66 seconds.
In the men’s 200-yard medley relay, Cechini swam the anchor leg for Loyola’s D team, which finished eighth in 1:33.65.
He also led off Loyola’s B team in the men’s 200-yard freestyle relay, with the quartet placing sixth in 1:24.33.
Loyola’s men lost 236–64 to Navy and 209–91 to LSU.
