Smith & Sprincova Win Swans Club Charity 5K
Chayce Smith won the Swans Club Charity 5K Run at John Smith’s Bay, finishing in 17 minutes, 52.83 seconds, while Stepanka Sprincova claimed the women’s title with a time of 19:35.30.
The race started and finished along South Road in Smith’s Parish, with proceeds supporting community initiatives.
Smith took control early in the 3.1-mile race and maintained his lead to finish 17 seconds ahead of Shannon Lawrence, who placed second in 18:09.91. Adam Prunty finished third overall in 18:54.68, breaking the 19-minute mark.
Sprincova finished sixth overall to win the women’s division, crossing the line in under 20 minutes. Mae Tirfe placed second among the women and 11th overall in 20:41.91.
Kristen Robinson completed the women’s podium, finishing 20th overall in 23:21.35.
