Historic St. George’s will come alive with Halloween magic, theatrical historical characters, live music, cirque acts, family activities and a spectacular fire show as The Olde Towne Trick & Treat returns for an evening of spooky fun and immersive Bermudian history on October 31st.

A spokesperson said, “Historic St. George’s transforms into a Halloween dream for one unforgettable night of tricks, treats, history, theatricality and magic. The Olde Towne Trick & Treat is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated return to our UNESCO town, inviting residents and visitors alike to experience a magical evening of Halloween festivities which many are calling “the haunted walkabout”.

“This year’s event promises to step up in every way thanks to the incredible support we received last year, our funding and community partners. Attendees can expect a layered experience featuring theatrical historical characters and live musical elements alongside cirque acts, culminating in a spectacular fire show that will light up the town square.”

The event designer, Tara Sapien, originally launched the event as a way for entrepreneurs to create fall offerings around the season.

“As an artist, entrepreneur and involved aunt, this season has so many economic, artistic and community building opportunities that we’ve left on the table for too long. I just knew I had to take the risk and build the framework.” While this is the first major event on the St. George’s fall roster, there are more in store for all ages.

“I believe the town has the potential to stand alongside the world’s great Halloween destinations, rivaling Salem, Disney, Sleepy Hollow and the hauntings of New Orleans, while remaining unmistakably Bermudian in character. The vision is a sustainable, community-driven celebration that draws visitors from around the globe, supports local businesses and artists, and cements St. George’s as a must-visit fall destination.”
