WFA October Football Camp Partnership
Warwick Football Academy has announced a five-day October Football Camp in partnership with SoCal Reds FC, featuring guest coach Paul Bright and development programmes for young footballers across Bermuda.
A spokesperson said, “Warwick Football Academy [WFA] is excited to announce its October Football Camp, delivered in partnership with SoCal Reds FC of Irvine, California. The five-day camp will bring together the player development philosophies and coaching expertise of WFA and SoCal Reds FC to provide Bermuda’s young footballers with an engaging, challenging and high-quality training experience.

“Leading the training programme will be Paul Bright, Executive Vice President of Growth & Development and Academy Director of Coaching at SoCal Reds FC.
“Paul brings more than two decades of experience in elite youth development, academy leadership, international football and coach education. His professional experience includes:

- Jamaica U17 Men’s National Team Coach
- U.S. Soccer Federation Coach Educator
- MLS Next Academy Director — Albion SC Las Vegas
- Director of Coaching — LA Galaxy Orange County

“Qualifications: UEFA A and USSF A coaching licences, USSF Technical Leaders II Licence, BSc [Hons] in Football Science and a Master’s in Education.
“Paul’s involvement provides Bermuda’s young players with an opportunity to learn from a coach with extensive experience across professional academy, international and U.S. elite player-development environments.
Development Camp
U7–U11 Boys & Girls | 8:30–11:30 A.M. | 15 Hours | $225
“Build the Foundation. Grow in Confidence. Enjoy the Game.
“The Development Camp is designed for young players looking to build confidence, improve their technical foundation and develop a greater understanding and enjoyment of the game.
“Sessions will focus on:
- Ball mastery and individual technique
- Dribbling and running with the ball
- Passing and receiving
- 1v1 attacking and defending
- Shooting and finishing
- Movement, coordination and agility
- Decision-making
- Small-sided games and match play
“Age-appropriate coaching will challenge players while keeping development, confidence, creativity and enjoyment at the centre of the experience.
Elite Camp
U11+–U15 Boys & Girls | 1:00–4:00 P.M. | 15 Hours | $225
“Program designed for upper-level U11 and older players
“Challenge Your Game. Raise Your Level.
“The Elite Camp provides a more demanding training environment for motivated and experienced players who are ready to take their development further. Training will place players in situations that require them to perform technically while making quicker and more effective decisions under pressure.
“Sessions will focus on:
- Technical quality under pressure
- Scanning and awareness
- Speed of thought and decision-making
- 1v1 attacking and defending
- Combination play
- Movement on and off the ball
- Positional understanding
- Game-related tactical concepts
- Competitive small-sided and match play
Player Assessments & Pathway Opportunities
“Players participating in the Elite Camp will receive individual player assessments, providing feedback on their current strengths and areas for continued development.
“The partnership will also provide an opportunity for player identification, with selected players potentially considered for future invitational training, camps and player-development experiences with SoCal Reds FC.
“Participation in the camp does not guarantee selection for future pathway opportunities.
