Collin Anderson: Director of Health Insurance.

CJ AndersonThe Ministry of Health announced today (July 14) that Mr. Collin Anderson, formerly the Assistant Director of Health Insurance, has had his post revised to that of Director of Health Insurance.

Mr. Anderson began his career in government in 2006 as the Assistant Director for Health Insurance for the Department of Social Insurance, within the Ministry of Finance.

Mr. Anderson took responsibility for the Health Insurance Section’s re-organization in 2008 and for the eradication of the Department’s back-log of medical claims.

Before joining the civil service, Mr. Anderson worked in the political risk insurance industry in London with ACE European Group Ltd. and at the Lloyd’s market. Mr. Anderson also worked in Washington, DC at the World Bank’s insurance arm, the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency or MIGA.

Mr. Anderson is a graduate of the School of Risk Management and Actuarial Science at St. John’s University (formerly the College of Insurance in New York) where he concentrated in Risk Management and Insurance.

As the Director of the Health Insurance Department, Mr. Anderson is responsible for the delivery the government’s health insurance products including: FutureCare, HIP (the Health Insurance Plan), the Mutual Reinsurance Fund and the Government Subsidy Program.
