Yearwood Sisters Win Nine Medals
Nicole and Ashley Yearwood competed for their school Baylor at the 2010 South East Meet of Champions at the Williamson County Indoor Sports Complex, and won a staggering nine medals between them.
Nicole competed in the Women 15 & Over 1650 Yard Freestyle were she finished 7th with a time of 18:51.67.
Ashley finished the Women 50 Yard Freestyle A Final in 5th place clocking 25.08, while Nicole finished 8th in 25.87.
The pair then swam in the Women 100 Yard Freestyle B Final, with Ashley winning a Silver Medal with a time of 55.10, while Nicole finished 4th in 55.19.
Nicole then won the Bronze Medal in the Women 200 Yard Freestyle B Final, she finished 3rd in a time of 1:59.88, with Ashley finishing 5th in 2:01.37.
Competing in the Women 500 Yard Freestyle, Nicole finished 10th clocking 5:20.28.
Nicole then finished the Women 100 Yard Backstroke A Final in 7th with a time of 1:02.27, while Ashley won a Gold Medal in the B Final finishing first in 1:01.25.
Nicole won the Gold Medal in the Women 200 Yard Backstroke B Final with a time of 2:14.84, while Ashley finished 5th in 2:18.73.
Nicole’s medal count continued when she won a Bronze Medal in the Women 100 Yard Breaststroke B Final clocking 1:12.97, she then finished 4th in the Women 100 Yard Butterfly B Final with a time of 1:03.15.
Ashley won a Gold Medal in the Women 200 Yard IM B Final with a time of 2:15.81.
In the Women 400 Yard Freestyle Relay Ashley swam the Baylor A teams Second Leg helping them to a Silver Medal with a time of 3:37.91, while Nicole swam the Baylor B Team First Leg in winning the Bronze Medal with a time of 3:39.18.
Nicole again swam the Baylor B Team First Leg in winning the Bronze Medal with a time of 4:17.97 in the Women 400 Yard Medley Relay.
