Basketballers Make Charity Donation
Bermuda Basketball Association’s National Team Captain Steven Simons and Dean Jones today [June 7] presented a cheque to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Bermuda. They are pictured below alongside Patrina “Powergirl” O’Connor-Paynter:
Mr Simons said, “We raised money by having Denim Days in a bid to raise the funds. We asked different corporate organizations to get involved in this worthy cause.”
Ms O’Connor-Paynter thanked the Men’s National Team players and said, “On behalf of the for Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization I would like to say thank you very much for this kind gesture, I would also like to encourage members of the team to become Big Brothers as well.”
