[Updated] After a brief delay due to the passing of Tropical Storm Leslie, the island’s school students returned to school this morning [Sept 11], with some of the little ones making their very first foray into “big school”, while the older students are returning after their summer break.
The private schools headed back in last week, with the public system going back in today after the initial start date of September 7th was postponed due to Leslie. The Ministry of Education has advised that the school days lost will be made up later in the school year.
The Bernews cameraman rushed around but was only able to get three schools, so if you have photos of your children heading back to school please feel free to email us at email@example.com so we can continue to add photos to the gallery as the day progresses.
