Government Offices To Close At 4pm Today

The Acting Cabinet Secretary and Head of Civil Service Dr. Derrick Binns said that Government offices will close at 4pm today so that employees can make any final preparations before the strongest winds from Hurricane Rafael impact the island this evening.

The latest forecast said Hurricane Rafael is 255 miles south of Bermuda moving NNE at 24mph, with maximum sustained winds near 85mph, and its closest point of approach to Bermuda is forecast to be 108 nm to the ESE at 8pm this evening.     That is only closing 1/2hour earlier than normsl. They never miss a chance not to work do they?

    No one will notice, gees we should be lucky if they work to 4pm, look at works and engineering, they started early, had a sleep in the white W& E mobile trailer homes that they have, woke up, saw the rain and went home, such value for our tax dollars we got less than the usual 3 hour workday we normally get
