Film Screening & Dog Training History Lecture

The Dog Training Club of Bermuda will be presenting ‘Tough Love, a Meditation on Dominance and Dogs’, a documentary film along with a short lecture on the history of dog training and the pitfalls of reality television with director, cinematographer and co-editor Chad Montrie.

The screening takes place on Saturday [Mar 16] at the Tradewinds Auditorium, BUEI with cocktails at 6.30pm and the film presentation at 7.00pm. Lecture with Q&A will follow the film and tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. A cash bar will be available and part proceeds from the DTC’s screening of Tough Love will be donated to the Bermuda SPCA.

Tough Love

The film traces the history of the “alpha dog” concept from its origins in 1940s wolf studies to its current popularity among ordinary dog owners, pondering themes of family, hierarchy, and power.
