Break The Silence: Ovarian Cancer Awareness
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and in recognition of a loved one who has survived ovarian cancer or passed with ovarian cancer, the public is invited to take part in a fundraiser with proceeds going to the Bermuda Cancer & Health Centre and Women’s Resources Centre.
Friends and family of a loved one who has survived ovarian cancer or passed with ovarian cancer can write their names on a ribbon, make a donation and place that ribbon on a board at different locations throughout the island.
The locations to place ribbons are:
- 7th September – Heron Bay Market PLace
- 13th September – Lindo’s Warwick
- 14th September – Lindo’s Devonshire
- 18th September – Shelley Bay Market Place
- 19th September – Bda College Book Store
- 21th September – Robertson’s Drug Store
- 25th September – Hamilton Market Place
Other events planned include:
- 13th September – Paint The Town Teal Day
- 23th September – Forum
- 30th September – Fundraiser Luncheon
