Photos: 2013 Police Week Memorial Service
The Bermuda Police Memorial Service was held on Thursday [Oct 10] in the Military Cemetery off Alexandra Road in Devonshire as part of Police Week activities.
Dignitaries, including the Governor Mr. George Fergusson and the Commissioner of Police Mr. Michael DeSilva together with family members, participated in the ceremony.
Each year a memorial ceremony organised in conjunction with the Bermuda Ex-Police Association is held as part of Police Week to commemorate those who lost their lives whilst serving the Bermuda Police Service as police officers, reserve officers and support staff – in particular since the year 2000, as well as retired officers and staff that have passed during the previous year.
