220ft Super-Yacht Docks At Ordnance Island

April 8, 2014

A trio of visiting yachts — including a 220 ft superyacht — were docked in St. George’s yesterday [Apr 7] lining the Bermuda Yacht Services berth at Ordnance Island.

The motor yacht White Cloud arrived yesterday morning, as did the sailing yacht Montigne which is en route to the Azores and only planned to stop in Bermuda for a few hours. Also docked at the east end was the sailing yacht Ree.

White Cloud is a 220 ft motor yacht built by the Dutch shipyard Feadship in 1983 and is reportedly on the market for purchase at just under $16 million.

Originally built for Dutch millionaire Bram van Leeuwen, also known as Prince de Lignac, the White Cloud was one of the most expensive yachts ever built, and is reported to have gold interior fittings.

Montigne is a 57 metre sailing yacht which was built and launched by Aegean Yachts in 2009. Montigne can sleep up to a maximum of twelve guests in her luxury six cabin layout which features a master stateroom and five guest staterooms.

The charter sailing yacht Ree is 34.1 metres in length and was built in 1996 by Valdettaro. Ree offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 air conditioned cabins with flat screen TVs.
