Sick Crew Member Transferred Off Cruise Ship
At approximately 6.30pm today [May 20] the Norwegian Dawn cruise ship, which was departing the island, reported that a crew member was ill, complaining of chest pain.
A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson confirmed a 49 year old Filipino crewman was transferred off the cruise ship and on to the pilot boat St George, then brought to Ordnance Island where an awaiting ambulance transported the man to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment. The Norwegian Dawn continued with its departure.
